Introducing the Moralis Price API

Table of Contents

Today, we’re proud to announce that we’re formally launching the Moralis Price API!

Moralis Price API

Moralis is now introducing the Moralis Price API. This makes it easier than ever before for you to get token prices based on on-chain data!

We at Moralis know how dApp developers sometimes need accurate token prices when building decentralized applications. Moralis users will know how Moralis takes dApp development to the next level, with its capable yet easy-to-use backend infrastructure. This is why we’re now bringing Moralis’ unique ”plug-and-play” functionality to on-chain token prices with the Moralis Price API!

Specifically, the Moralis Price API introduces cross-chain compatible, fully Moralis-compatible support for fetching on-chain prices for any token. The Moralis Price API works in tandem with Moralis’ existing Deep Index API. The Deep Index API allows you to easily access historical blockchain data with Moralis. Furthermore, the Moralis Price API has full interoperability with all other Moralis features, such as the hugely popular Moralis Speedy Nodes.

The Moralis Price API can, most notably, get the price of any asset trading on-chain, such as on Uniswap, PancakeSwap, or QuickSwap. This is possible by having the Moralis Price API look directly into the liquidity pool of different DEXs. Moreover, the Moralis Price API’s native cross-chain compatibility means that you can choose any token, regardless of chain. This means you do not limit yourself to working exclusively with Ethereum, BSC, and Polygon tokens.

Technically speaking, the Moralis Price API works by looking into decentralized exchange (DEX) smart contracts. As such, the Moralis Price API is able to calculate various token prices based on this data. See the following video for a breakdown of how the Price API makes fetching token prices easier than ever!

Get Token Prices with the Moralis Price API

The Moralis API will further bolster Moralis’ capable suite of innovative APIs and backend infrastructure features. Be sure to sign up for Moralis for free to join in creating the next generation of dApps, without any of the backend hassle!

The Moralis Price API brings crucial functionality to a wide range of cryptocurrency projects. This includes building NFT projects, cryptocurrency wallets, various DeFi applications, or any type of dApps requiring reliable price information. The ability to get accurate price information for virtually any token trading on-chain cannot be overstated. If you’re building a Web3 app or dApp uilizing token prices, using the Moralis Price API is a must.

This comes in addition to other existing Moralis features that make dApp and Web3 development dramatically easier. For example, these include the Moralis NFT API, Moralis Speedy Nodes (which now feature full WebSocket support and Arbitrum readiness), the Moralis Deep Index API, native IPFS support, MetaMask authentication, and much more.

About Moralis

Moralis is the premier blockchain middleware for when you need to build dApps or Web3 applications. By providing a comprehensive Web3 backend infrastructure, that’s both fully managed and infinitely scalable, you’ll be able to quickly prototype and deploy dApps in a matter of hours rather than weeks.

Not only is Moralis the easiest and quickest blockchain node provider out there, through Moralis Speedy Nodes, which feature full archive nodes. Be sure to check out our guides for how to create Ethereum dApps, how to create BSC dApps, how to connect to Ethereum nodes, how to connect to BSC nodes, how to connect to Polygon nodes, and much, much more!
