The 2021 Moralis Hackathon will see teams compete for a total prize pool of $50,000. Following the hackathon’s June 15th deadline, a jury will select three winning teams. The team that comes in first place will receive a grand prize of $30,000. Anyone entering into the 2021 Moralis Hackathon can decide what to build themselves. The only requirement is that participants use Moralis in building their Web3 app or dApp. However, we strongly encourage hackathon entrants to also use the tech of our technology participants, like Chainlink. For example, you can use Chainlink Data Feeds to capture secure, decentralized, accurate asset pricing data to build defi primitives. These are the same tools that giants like Aave, Synthetix, and Sushiswap already use!
Moreover, you can use Chainlink VRF to create verifiably random numbers in your NFTs like Aavegotchis, build DeFi lotteries like PoolTogether, or anything else you can come up with! Additionally, you can build any type of smart contract automation with Chainlink Keepers. Have your smart contracts update based on some event, be it time, price, or really anything! What’s more, you can create virtually anything you’re looking for with Chainlink API calls and external adapters.
What is Chainlink?
Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network provides reliable, tamper-proof inputs and outputs for complex smart contracts on any blockchain. Furthermore, Chainlink’s oracle network can reliably and securely connect smart contracts to off-chain resources, including data APIs, legacy payment gateways, cloud infrastructure, IoT, and other blockchains.
