Chainlink Joins 2021 Moralis Hackathon as Sponsor

We at Moralis are thrilled to formally present Chainlink as an official technology participant to the 2021 Moralis Hackathon!

Chainlink – Official Sponsor to the 2021 Moralis Hackathon

It’s our great pleasure to introduce Chainlink as the latest official sponsor to the 2021 Moralis Hackathon! Chainlink joins a long list of high-profile sponsors already associated with the 2021 Moralis Hackathon. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Chainlink to this hackathon, which will see developers compete for a total prize pool of $50,000!

”Joining the Moralis Hackathon was an easy decision for us. We are deeply passionate about blockchain developers, supporting the community, and above all, building. Moralis is going to be a game-changer for developers, and we couldn’t be happier to join this hackathon,” said Yaroslav Pshenitsyn, Director of Operations at Chainlink.

”Having Chainlink aboard for the 2021 Moralis Hackathon is a dream come true for us,” added Ivan on Tech, Founder of Moralis. ”We share the same passion for supporting developers and want to help them build dApps in the easiest way possible. We can’t wait to see what devs will come up with in the hackathon.”

Moralis is a fully managed, infinitely scalable backend infrastructure for Web3 apps or dApps. Put simply, Moralis allows developers to focus on what they do best, without the traditional hassle of setting up and manually managing a Web3 backend.

The 2021 Moralis Hackathon will see teams compete for a total prize pool of $50,000. Following the hackathon’s June 15th deadline, a jury will select three winning teams. The team that comes in first place will receive a grand prize of $30,000. Moreover, the team that comes in second place will be awarded $15,000, and the team that comes in third will win a $5,000 prize. If you haven’t already, make sure to join the Moralis Hackathon today!

Example Hackathon Chainlink Use Cases

Anyone entering into the 2021 Moralis Hackathon can decide what to build themselves. The only requirement is that participants use Moralis in building their Web3 app or dApp. However, we strongly encourage hackathon entrants to also use the tech of our technology participants, like Chainlink. As such, we’ve compiled some examples of Chainlink’s innovative tech that you could consider using when developing your Moralis Hackathon project.

For example, you can use Chainlink Data Feeds to capture secure, decentralized, accurate asset pricing data to build defi primitives. These are the same tools that giants like Aave, Synthetix, and Sushiswap already use!

Moreover, you can use Chainlink VRF to create verifiably random numbers in your NFTs like Aavegotchis, build DeFi lotteries like PoolTogether, or anything else you can come up with! Additionally, you can build any type of smart contract automation with Chainlink Keepers. Have your smart contracts update based on some event, be it time, price, or really anything! What’s more, you can create virtually anything you’re looking for with Chainlink API calls and external adapters.

What is Chainlink?

Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network provides reliable, tamper-proof inputs and outputs for complex smart contracts on any blockchain. Furthermore, Chainlink’s oracle network can reliably and securely connect smart contracts to off-chain resources, including data APIs, legacy payment gateways, cloud infrastructure, IoT, and other blockchains. Chainlink’s mainnet was originally launched back in May of 2019.

As such, Chainlink supplies a highly flexible and secure infrastructure. Their tamper-proof network, along with the flexibility of their seamless connection to any API, provides powerful and convenient tools for developers. Together with the fact that Chainlink is a proven, well-known name with time-tested solutions, builders are in for a treat when working with Chainlink.
