Welcome back, developers and Moralis Mages! Whether it is your first day in Web3 or if you were here with us at the very start, Moralis Magazine is the weekly publication for you!
Each week, we dive deep into the code and strive to develop the most cutting-edge solutions available. While others are home wondering, “when will the metaverse be here?”, we build the foundation and discover what works and what doesn’t together!
Want to be a part of the future that we’re building? Getting involved is easy, and Moralis is here to help! More than a framework, Moralis is a complete workflow and your key to Web3 development access. Be brave; many challenges are ahead, and together, we will be victorious!
Mages, to your keyboards! Let the coding begin!
What are you building with Moralis? Are you stuck? Reach out to us with questions and comments. Who knows, we may even respond to you directly in a future magazine!
Mage Q&A Corner
Q: I just launched my first Moralis server; what do I do now?
A: If you are faced with this question, you may already know how you plan to build your webpage. Many developers will opt to use ReactJS. If this is you, skip to our next section on Moralis Projects (specifically the clones mentioned below).
Alternatively, you may have a different website design method in mind and wonder how to integrate Moralis. Depending on your methodology, you can use different approaches and techniques. Moreover, Moralis’ documentation explains how you can connect to the Moralis SDK: https://docs.moralis.io/moralis-server/getting-started. So if you were using WordPress, for example, you could connect to the SDK by adding a CDN link in your HTML file.
Moralis Projects Update
If you have been following us each week, odds are you’re familiar with Moralis Projects. Our newest Web3 initiative is designed to equip and enable everyday developers to build grand applications, each powered with Web3 technology and enhanced by integrating trustless systems.
Now, it’s not too late to participate in Moralis Projects, and all participants who complete the challenges will be rewarded! We have cloned projects such as Netflix and Airbnb and even built our custom metaverses! If you missed these projects, don’t worry, each of these past projects remains available on our YouTube channel!
Here is a look at some of the custom NFTs – all up for grabs but only available to Moralis Projects participants:
Not convinced? Here is what one of our past project BUIDLers, Vincent, has to say:
“I must say Moralis really helped me in easily getting connected into the Web3 universe through their amazing SDK! More of that, they have a lot of fun and interesting projects and tutorials to showcase their solutions too. Their community is very friendly and helpful. Loving the community of Moralis Mages! 🧙♂️”
Vincent Hoong is a true Moralis Mage and joined us for our Netflix, Airbnb, FPS shooter, and metaverse land projects – and he’ll be taking part in this week’s project as well! 🤩 He enjoys participating in our projects because of their real-world application and utility (and because he loves collecting NFTs, just like us)!
This week, we’ll illustrate how to build your own decentralized Angry Birds! Make sure you keep an eye out for our next Moralis Projects email so you can set a reminder for the premiere. Let’s BUIDL together!
Another Week, Another Event
Another week and another amazing event are knocking on the door! Hack For Inclusion (H4I) is a Moralis-sponsored hackathon that aims to bring Web3 Donnas and LGBTQ into the space by empowering them with the workshops and guidance to get started in their career.
One of our Moralis Mages will be present on-site to support everyone attending the event. Also, we are doing an API walkthrough/demo for the participants to ensure that the masses benefit from the best Web3 tool!
Follow Moralis Web3 on Twitter and join our Discord channel to stay tuned!
Each of you is part of something extraordinary, and this magazine is all about putting the power of Moralis to work for you!
We are all Moralis and are here to support each other. If you are not already active in the Moralis DAO Discord, today’s the day to make your introduction.
Inside the Moralis DAO Discord, you’ll find a stacked deck of Moralis experts and fellow mages. Post your projects and get feedback from the community, participate in coding challenges, and stay updated with the latest Moralis features and updates.
Advanced Web3 Game Development – New Content!
In our previous videos, we’ve been transforming a Phaser 2D game engine demo into a Web3 P2E game using Moralis.
From here, the biggest restriction for any play-to-earn game is the ability to verify what’s happening off-chain to bring it on-chain. As game developers, we must be certain that players have not cheated and used the game’s interface to produce data that appears on-chain.
Ash is here to show us how and will cover the top three approaches for Web3 game devs to win against cheats, specifically in regards to play-to-earn games!
What you do with the tools and expertise provided is up to you, and we hope this magazine helps spark some ideas.
Thanks for reading! We hope you found this week’s Moralis Magazine useful.
See you next time 💚
