Moralis Launches DeFi Positions

Table of Contents

We’re thrilled to share that we’re making our Wallet API even better – with the launch of our brand-new DeFi Positions feature!

Introducing Our DeFi Positions Feature

At Moralis, we understand the complexities involved in tracking a wallet’s DeFi positions. Many Web3 projects require detailed insights into the assets and exposure a wallet holds across various DeFi protocols. Until now, developers had to piece together data from multiple sources to understand a wallet’s DeFi activities.

The Challenge

Wallet holders often have significant portions of their portfolios tied up in DeFi protocols to earn yield. We know the difficulties involved in getting a clear picture of these positions, which can leave users without essential information about the value and earnings of their staked assets.

Our Solution

To solve this, we developed our new DeFi Positions feature. This addition to our Wallet API provides comprehensive insights into the DeFi activities of a wallet, including interactions with protocols, the amount of assets staked, and details on unclaimed rewards. To revolutionize tracking a wallet’s DeFi positions, we’re rolling out three new endpoints:

New Endpoints

  1. Summary DeFi Protocols by Wallet: Get a summary of all protocols a wallet interacts with, including total USD value held and unclaimed rewards.
  2. Summary DeFi Positions by Wallet: Receive a standardized summary of all protocol positions for a wallet.
  3. Detailed DeFi Positions by Wallet and Protocol: Access detailed information on positions for a specific wallet and protocol.

Supported Protocols and Chains

We’re starting with rolling out support for 13 key protocols, including Uniswap, Aave, Lido, and Maker, with plans to add many more. Initial chain support includes Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BSC, Ethereum, Linea, Optimism, and Polygon.

Benefits and Use Cases

  • Enhanced Portfolio Management: Wallet builders can now offer better portfolio management features, increasing user engagement.
  • Comprehensive Insights: Portfolio trackers can provide deeper insights into users’ DeFi positions.
  • Accurate Tax Reporting: Crypto tax companies can enhance their reporting accuracy with DeFi position data.
  • Informed Investment Decisions: DeFi-focused investment firms and analysts can make more informed decisions with detailed position data.
