We are proud to announce that Moralis is joining the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon as an official sponsor!
Moralis Sponsors the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon
We at Moralis couldn’t be happier to reveal that we are joining the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon as an official sponsor. Starting on October 22nd, the hackathon is a five-week event where hackathon teams can compete in various categories for over $400,000 in total prizes – with Moralis contributing $50,000 to the hackathon’s total prize pool. Smart contract developers of all experience levels are invited to join the hackathon to learn alongside like-minded developers, designers, and creators to build a standout blockchain application.
“It’s great to be a part of the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon,” said Ivan on Tech, Founder of Moralis. “This hackathon is a great opportunity for developers to showcase their skills and bring their ideas to fruition. What’s more, it’s a hands-on environment for programmers to discover Moralis and see for themselves how Moralis cuts down the average development process from weeks and months to hours and days.”
Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon
The Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon will kick off on October 22nd, 2021 with an opening ceremony at 6PM ET and a subsequent team-gathering event. This will allow participants without teams to congregate and find partners for the next 5 weeks. While hackathon project submissions are officially due by November 28th, the closing ceremony is on December 10th to allow for the judges to review projects and select the hackathon’s winners.
Geared towards novice smart contract developers, the Chainlink Hackathon includes a myriad of different workshops and complimentary educational resources for registrants to learn the ABCs of blockchain development, from popular dev environments and best practices to integrating critical infrastructure resources such as Chainlink Data Feeds. Be sure to keep an eye on the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon schedule to see the latest additions in hackathon events.
Chainlink Hackathon Tracks
The Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon consists of two main tracks – a “Welcome Track” and a “Main Track”. Consequently, developers will be able to choose their hackathon journey in the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon based on their skill level.
- Welcome Track
The hackathon’s “Welcome Track” seeks to accelerate the learning process for developers without extensive previous experience in smart contract development. As such, the Welcome Track is a gateway to these developers’ first blockchain hackathon. As a low-stakes environment where developers receive world-class technical support, this education-centric track allows participants to build their blockchain skills through learning-by-doing.
- Main Track
The Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon’s “Main Track” is for developers who are already confident with blockchain programming and are aiming for the $400k+ prize pool. Those participating in the Main Track can leverage their smart contract programming experience to create the next big thing in the blockchain ecosystem by competing for prize bounties and receiving the chance to pitch their hackathon project to a group of VCs.
Overall, the Chainlink Hackathon serves as a valuable avenue for developers of all experience levels to reach their goals. Whether you want to build your first blockchain application or take your project to the next level with VC funding, the Chainlink Hackathon is a flexible, hands-on environment that aims to foster innovation and incubate the next generation of hybrid smart contracts.
Moralis is the definitive Web3 operating system. Specifically, Moralis provides the easiest way to prototype, develop and deploy dApps, Web3 apps and DeFi projects. This is accomplished by providing developers with a fully managed, infinitely scalable blockchain backend infrastructure. In short, developers do not need to worry about the backend hassle traditionally associated with Web3 development.
In addition to this, Moralis provides a comprehensive suite of powerful tools to supercharge developers’ blockchain projects. For example, the Moralis SDK presents a complete toolkit to any aspiring blockchain developers. The Moralis NFT API brings the same ease-of-use to NFT programming – for everything from NFT token development to NFT game development. Moreover, Moralis is built to be cross-chain compatible from the very beginning. This means that you can build Ethereum dApps, conduct BEP20 token development, connect to Avalanche nodes, create Polygon dApps, and much, much more – all with Moralis!
Furthermore, Moralis’ plug-and-play functionality means that you can incorporate Web3 functionality into your projects with just a few snippets of code. In conclusion, it’s no surprise that Moralis is one of the premier development platforms for Web3 projects. Chainlink is the premier standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services. This is essential to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. What’s more, Chainlink’s oracle networks give smart contracts a method to reliably connect to external APIs, and enables feature-rich applications by leveraging secure, off-chain computations. At the moment, Chainlink secures tens of billions of dollars across a variety of industries – including gaming, insurance, DeFi, and others. Additionally, Chainlink offers both global companies and leading data providers with a convenient gateway to various blockchains.
